I Used To Be Somebody

For the last several months, I’ve put all my attention and time into creating handmade books.  Despite focusing on bookmaking, I still have the desire to create mixed media paintings, and this week I finally tackled a large, blank panel that’s been hanging around the studio.  Titled I Used To Be Somebody, it measures 36″x48″ and is the largest painting I’ve ever completed.  I really like the finished piece, and I’m hoping it will inspire me to start a new series of mixed media paintings.
