This has been a whirlwind of a summer for me. I’ve been traveling all over creation, which has been really great because I’ve had some amazing adventures with some wonderful friends. However, I’ve been so busy with travel; I haven’t had a full and uninterrupted week in the studio since before early June. So I tried to make the most of this week, and I at least succeeded with being productive!
This week I’ve been trying out some new ideas on smaller 5”x7” panels. I’ve also been experimenting with new color schemes. Enjoy!

I think they are all working nicely, Megan. I like the clear colours and marks. I think a common feature is an almost pearly light. which is rather nice! And in that last one, the beautiful red is set off so well by that creamy white.
Is that “creamy white” a true reproduction? I wonder how you got such a lovely shade …
Good works!
Thanks! Sorry to say that my photograph is not a true reproduction of the colors I used. In person, that “creamy white” is actually a bright white.
I’m trying to get on with some new color schemes and mark making in my work. I feel like I’m still in the development stage with my new works.
I do wish I was better with my camera so that I could get a more accurate reproduction of my works. How do you go about photographing your paintings?
